Data pulls from Klaviyo
Intro
This explainer will inform you about when Alvas pulls data, what data we pull, why we pull the data, and everything you need to know about the data pulls.
How often does Alvas pull data from Klaviyo?
Every 15 minutes.
What data is pulled?
As a standard, Alvas pulls 5 different types of events:
Placed Orders
Clicked Email
Opened Email
Received Email
Unsubscribed
Why does Alvas pull events?
Events have two use cases:
Analytics
Self Learning
To give you insights into the performance of your AI emails, we need the events to give you analytics.
To activate Self Learning, the algorithm needs feedback on what is a good/bad email.
Placed Order events indicate that an email was good, and Unsubscribes indicate that an email was bad.
Completed
When a pull is completed, it means that all data was pulled successfully. A new pull will happen 15 minutes after the last completed pull happened.
Pulling
Data is currently being pulled from your email system. The event counts updates in real-time, so you can follow how many events that have been pulled and stored.
For the first-ever pull, the pull can take hours, otherwise, a typical pull will take between 5-10 seconds.
Error
An error occurred while pulling data, and the pull stopped.
The Alvas team will investigate what went wrong.
A new pull will happen after 15 minutes, and that will pull data from when the last Completed pull started.
Pulling Soon
You've likely just made your integration, and no data has been pulled yet.
The next pull will start the following night CET (Copenhagen time).
Since it's the first-ever pull, it will pull data from when your first Alvas email was created.
If no email has been created, it will error, and retry every 24 hours from there.
Starting Pull
The pull has just started, but no events have actually been pulled yet.
